Deisel

We bought Ava a horse!
No, not really, we did visit Karen's horse though. This is Deisel and according to Ava he's not a horse at all, just a really big dog that eats carrots.
I was kinda shocked at how well she took to him, no fear! She fed him as well as other horses at the stable. Her whole hand right in the mouth, no problem! She just wouldn't sit on him, maybe next time. Perhaps we'll visit Deisel with big cousin Emma and Emma can show her how its done! It'll be similar to our trip to Chuck E. Cheese...Emma did everything and Ava refused to even sit on a ride.
Oh...we shall see!
Now its time for a nap...I've had a terrible time sleeping lately and Ava is due for the day!
Thanks Karen for sharing with us!!!

Trinkling Water is Serene

Yesterday our hot water handle in our shower kept turning....
I had to call Bryan to come home to shut the water off and once he was home for the night he temporarily fixed it. He showered this morning, I showered this morning...our Kitchen got a bath this morning.
Apparently there was a leak in the wall behind the tile in the shower. No good. Here are the damages:

Brida

I just read my first Paulo Coelho book....it was fantastic!
I have been reading his blog for a short time now and I've been fascinated by his thoughts and writings...so I decided to read one of his books and sure enough...just as good! I could have pulled tons of quotes to treasure (I'm a huge quote buff)...can't wait to get my hands on another one of his works!
I'm currently reading The Historian, it was lent to me by Meredith...about 900 pages which is why I took a Coelho break for two days! Once I'm done with The Historian I'll read another Coelho...I can't wait!!
Kristen's bridal shower is tomorrow...got lots to do!! Going to be so much fun! She's giving me chills...sometimes I wish I had a 'real' wedding...but I'd definitely need a wedding planner, I think the gene fairy skipped me on the impetus bond in the double helix...or perhaps its just my nucleotides lacking hydrogen bonds, which ever way I'd certainly need a wedding planner.
Enjoy the weekend!

No more pool!

So...our pool had a leak :(

There were a few patches in the pool from the previous owners so we never knew why they were there or from what they came from. At some point they ripped off and our pool began to slowly leak for about a week. Bryan and Marshall patched it and the very next day we had a huge leak...the water was only 3/4 full!!!

At this point we decided we need, if not a new pool, a new liner at the very least so we let it go. And go it went!!! The water was puddling under our deck where 4 or 5 baby racoons were playing one night. It was very cute, they were rolling around in the water and playing with each other like kittens as Kristen and I watched.

The next day Kara spotted another hole in the pool, so she got in to make sure it was a 'hole'. Now, mind you this picture of Kara below is only after two days of leaking:

Dandy! If you can see, the water comes just below her knees! So, now that its the hottest time of the year and we are pool-less Ava and I have been spending our days at the beach collecting rocks (Ava has a thing for rocks) and putting our feet in the water.

On another note, Bryan is very happy to be back in Branford!! Its nice to have him home in time for a night walk and dinner! Other than rocks, Ava also loves walks in her stroller and Art:

I've been working on family trees so if anyone can contribute information I'd appreciate it! It seems Bryan has no idea from whom he descended...well, other than the obvious! Well, time to put Ava to sleep...its been a long day!
